Two accidents on Lentor Ave -- within hours of each other

Two accidents were spotted on Lentor Avenue this morning, just hours apart. 

The first accident involved a white car happened at around 2.15am on Lentor Avenue in the direction of Yishun.

Stomper Ah Boy, Freddie, and Whirlwindz alerted Stomp to the accident, sending in photos and a video on the incident.  

The white car was left toppled on its side on the road divider, with its bonnet completely smashed. 

In a video taken of the incident, a traffic police officer could be seen directing traffic away from the crash site. 

An ambulance was also seen near the wrecked vehicles, with paramedics loading the injured victim onto a stretcher by the road divider. 

Said Freddie:

“The video I had was forwarded by a friend in a WhatsApp group.

“The white car looked seriously damaged.”

At around 4.45am, another accident happened on the Lentor Avenue towards Yishun Avenue 2, this time involving a Silver Cab taxi, a TransCab taxi and a minibus. 

Stomper Sharwin and Peter who were in the vicinity managed to capture photos and a video. 

The video showed that the bonnet of the Silver Cab taxi had been visibly damaged, and a at least three ambulances were parked near the site of the accident.

Paramedics were also seen, and a stretcher was deployed. 

Said Peter:

“I’m not sure what happened, but it looks serious.”

The police has issued statements on both accidents.

Regarding the first accident, a spokesperson from the police said:

"On Mayb 5, 2017, at around 2.03am, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car along Lentor Avenue towards Yishun Avenue 2.

"A 40-year-old male driver was conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

On the second accident:

"On May 5, 2017, at around 4.28am, the police were alerted to an accident involving a minibus and two taxis, along Lentor Avenue towards Yishun Avenue 1. 

"The two taxi drivers and three taxi passengers were conscious when conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
