Here's what happens when you make up your own road rules

Some people like to go to driving school learn why following road rules keep them safe. Others, sadly, prefer to get into accidents and learn a far more painful lesson.

A video on Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Roads, credited to Gaiason Teo, shows a driver going straight on a right-turn only lane at Queen Street on Mar 18 at 12.10pm.

The driver ends up knocking into a car that was on the next lane, as the other driver was trying to make a right-turn.

The scariest bit about this incident happens to be the comments by netizens, who state that something similar has happened to them.

Since when was it commonplace to ignore road markings and traffic rules?
