The trial for an alleged case of rape in MacRitchie Reservoir began with the plaintiff claiming that the accused dragged her 14m into the forest before raping her.

After the ordeal, she called her boyfriend, her voice trembling and told him, ‘I was almost killed’, reports Shin Min Daily News via Lianhe Zaobao

According to Shin Min Daily News, the accused, a 24-year-old Bangladeshi construction worker had allegedly brandished a knife and threatened the victim, a 39-year-old white-collar female worker from China.
