Beware of what can happen when you turn your back at a petrol station

A video showing how snatch thieves sneakily steal valuables from drivers' cars while they pump petrol has been circulating on WhatsApp.

Stomper Timothy shared the video to warn other drivers:

"Good to highlight these to warn motorists, wherever this may be."

It is unclear where this video originates from.

In the video, thieves are caught on surveillance camera sneaking up to cars as their owners have their back turned and pumping petrol.

These culprits then slowly and quietly open car doors to grab handbags and valuables kept inside before making their getaway.

Always be aware and never take safety for granted.
