7 people including kids aged 10 and 11 sent to hospital after 4-vehicle accident at Woodlands

Seven people aged between 10 to 35 were sent to hospital after an accident along Woodlands Avenue 5 towards Woodlands Avenue 9, at around 5.55am today (June 4).

The chain collision involved two cars and two lorries.

Facebook user Nur'Ain Rosman shared the accident with the SG Road Vigilante group, along with a video as well as photos of the wrecked vehicles and paramedics tending to the injured.

She said that the two cars and one lorry were her friends' vehicles.

In response to media queries, the Police told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident at around 5.57am.

A spokesperson said, "Five persons aged between 16 and 35 were conscious when conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, while two persons aged 10 and 11 were conscious when conveyed to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

"Investigations are ongoing."

Rosman told Stomp that five of the victims were her friends and elaborated on their injuries:

"1) 10-year-old male: Dislocated jaw/ head stitches/ arm fracture/ lip cut/ swollen knees and ankles

"2) 11-year-old male: Forehead abrasion/ right knee swelling 2nd degree/ arm injured

"3) 16-year-old female: Fractured pelvic bone/ arm injured

"4) 32-year-old male: Knee injured

"5) 35-year-old female: Broken left leg and back spine pain"
